(Lilley) Gideon, 85, died Monday, Sept. 11, 1995, at Good Samaritan Center in Wood River. Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Apfel Funeral Home in Wood River with the Rev. Larry Nothstine officiating. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Gideon was born July 12, 1910, to Pharez and Jessie (Otto) Lilley on the family farm south of Wood River. She attended school in Hall County. On April 1, 1935, she married Gerald Gideon in Kearney. They lived on a farm south of Wood River. After her husband's death in 1954, she worked as a dietician at Lakeview Rehab/Nursing Center in Grand Island. She also worked at the nursing home in Wood River. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Wood River. Survivors are one son, Bill of Wood River; one daughter, Sharon Bohnart of Doniphan; and six grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Memorials may be given to Wood River Ambulance Fund.
